Maria Terra Obituary
Born in Santa Luzia, Pico, Azores, and raised in Faial, she was the daughter of the late Antonio Cabral and Filomena Pinheiro.
Besides her husband, she leaves eight daughters, Beatriz DeSousa and Manuela DaSilva both of East Providence, Fatima Vieira of New Bedford, Lucilina Ponder of Arizona, Ercilia Macedo of Pico, Azores, Ana Sao Joao of North Dartmouth, Maria Fontaine of Greenville,RI and Paula Espinoza of California; four sons, Armenio Terra of Florida, Victor Terra of East Providence, Manuel Terra of Hudson,Mass. and Roberto Terra of Somerset, Mass. twenty-eight grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandaughter. She was the sister of the late Manuel Cabral.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 8:45 AM from the PERRY/MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME 2555 Pawtucket Avenue East Providence with A Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse Street Providence. Calling hours Sunday 5-8PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Maria's memory to Home and Hospice Care of RI 169 George St. Pawtucket RI 02860 would be deeply appreciated.

Just writing to say good bye once again I will never forget you MOM you were the greatest in my eyes. I just wished that we had some more time, and still that's not enough, I will always LOVE YOU for ever I miss you so much, there is days that I dont want to go on but I know that I have to I miss going to your house and you are not there. The house is very empty without you there. Again I LOVE YOU forever. And MOM just to let you know that I'm very happy with my life I just wished that you had been there for our wedding. I know how you feel about your lost.
Each of us has their own poem from their heart, but cannot express it in writing, words or other ways, but what we write still contains our love to you, our warmest and most deepest thoughts of who we know you to be.
Take my love, sleep like an angel, and realize you have no loss, but your loss is with a higher force looking down upon you, and you will feel a light breeze at times or a speck of light to the side of your eyes, and you will know you have a deep love surrounding you as that speck gives you knowledge of what you think is a loss is simply a dove looking over you and letting you know you need not cry but experience the love being given to you.

Its hurts to even think about what happened. I knew that one day this day would come, but when it finaly does it hurts so much. I miss you and love you. I know that one day we will see you again. But until then I know you'll be watching over the family. LOVE YOU!!

There aren't enough words to describe how much I miss you Avo. You fought until it was too much for you, and we are all proud of you.
