Martin Prindle Obituary

PRINDLE, MARTIN S., age 81, of 18 Brookwood Rd., Bristol, died Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at the Silver Creek Manor Nursing Home, Bristol. He was the husband of Mary (Scolaro) Prindle, his wife of 57 years.

Born in Providence and a lifelong Bristol resident, he was a son of the late Guy and Grace (Boyce) Prindle. Mr. Prindle was a wire worker for the former Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corp formerly in Bristol and Portsmouth retiring in 1980. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol. He was a WWII Navy Veteran. He also was an avid cribbage player.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Bell of Warwick, four sons, Martin G. and Kenneth A. Prindle both of Bristol, Robert S. Prindle of Jacksonville, FL and Michael A. Prindle of Barrington, four grandchildren, Lynn, Barbara, Michael and Richard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jennie Brown.

Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, Friday at 10:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State St., Bristol. Burial with military honors will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope St., Bristol. Visiting hours Friday Morning from 8:00-10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bristol Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 775, Bristol, RI 02809.
