Mildred Kaye Obituary

KAYE, MILDRED P., 84, of Palm Beach, FL, died Tuesday at JFK Hospital, Atlantis, FL. She was the beloved wife of the late Harvey Kaye. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Mollie Weinberg Palow. With her husband, Mildred created and ran a chain of mens clothing stores including the Gentry Shop, Prep Shop, Squire Shop & Paramount. She also managed the Palow Realty Company, started by her father. Mildred was a member of Temple Beth-El and its sisterhood and B-nai B-rith. She was a graduate of Bryant College. She was an avid duplicate bridge player and reached the status of bronze life master.

Devoted mother of Steven Kaye, Esq. and his wife Patricia LaJoie of East Greenwich and Dr. William Kaye and his wife Lisa of Palm Beach, FL. Dear sister of Anne Mushnick of Narragansett and the late Jeanne Goldstein. Loving grandmother of Maximillian and Alexandra.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to your favorite charity. Shiva will be observed at the home of Jerome Deluty, 39 Greylock Ave., Cranston, Sat. 7-9 p.m.
