Nicholas SanMARTINO Obituary

SanMARTINO, NICHOLAS A.
66, of Lovegreen Lane, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Maria A. (Ronci) SanMartino to whom at the time of her death on June 27, 2013 had been married 38 years.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Anthony and Rose (Tambaschi) SanMartino. Nick was the founder and President of International Enterprises Ltd. and Genesis Marketing Group, two family-owned manufacturing businesses located in North Providence.

A communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church in East Greenwich, he was a man of great faith and the patriarch of the SanMartino Family. Nick's true passion in life was spending time with his children and grandchildren to whom they will always remember him as "Papi."

SanMartino-Clinton, husband Ronald, and their two children Gianna & Frankie of Cranston and his son John N. SanMartino, son Nicholas Almeida, of West Warwick and two sisters: Vanessa G. Smith, whose husband was the late Joseph F. Smith Jr. and Denise M. SanMartino both of North Providence.

I will always be thankful for Uncle Nicky and what he meant to my husband with only 2 regrets, one being that I did not get to know Uncle Nicky the way I would have liked, especially in the way Michael speaks in such high regard of his Uncle and two being we didn't get a family photo at our wedding, he was the epitome of a patriarch, with such class and respect, I am in awe of the legacy he's left behind and the love he shared with his wife and for his family. He and Auntie Maria will live on in the memories my husband speaks so fondly of, love to the family XOXO

Nick was one of my favorite patients and always had a smile on his face , despite the pain he was really in towards the end. I am the nursing assistant in Interventional Radiology, I couldn't do much but I was able to help in any way I could so he was comfortable. His last few words to me were "Please pray for me Amy, this is it" and so I did just that, I prayed. I hope that Nick enjoys reuniting with his beautiful wife who he loved so much. My deepest condolences to his family, especially his wonderful children I had the pleasure of meeting. God bless you.

To Anthony, Maria, Vanessa, Denise and Family,

You will always hold a special place in my heart. We had a few heart to hearts and one I remember very well. He acknowleged how God has blessed him with his family and business, but he said I get my greatest joy when I can help others. He said it has always been between him and God in what he does and who he does it for. What a man of great faith and integrity! We love you cuz!!

To Anthony, Family and Amy M - words cant express how we all feel right now. No matter when he saw me over the years, he always took 5-10 minutes to talk about the family and extra time to talk about my son Bobby. He would put his hand on my shoulder and say keep it going - you are doing good. He was one of the great ones for sure! From the Douglas family, my family and myself, we are very sorry for your loss. I am sure he is having a dance with Maria right about now

Love you all
