Palmera Alves

ALVES, PALMERA "PAL" (MASSA) age 96 of Metacom Avenue, Bristol, entered peacefully into eternal life on November 7, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Manuel "Steve" Alves. She was one of eleven children of the late Biagio and Teresa (Ambrosia) Massa. She is survived by three daugthers, LuAnn Pezzullo and her husband Ed of Bristol, Kathleen (Alves) Golini of Jamestown, and Becky (Alves) Wright of South Kingstown. Pal leaves six grandchildren, Edward Pezzullo, Marybeth Fletcher, Steven Pezzullo, Lee Golini, Maxwell Wright and Lacey Rose Wright. She also leaves six beloved great grandchildren, Nathan Fletcher, Arianna Pezullo, Zachary Pezzullo, Steven, Ethan and Cameron Pezzullo. Her living siblings include a brother, Edmund "Hector" Massa of Bristol. Funeral services are at the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours at Sansone are Monday, November 11, 2013 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
