Pauline Germani Obituary

GERMANI, PAULINE MARIE, 73, of Naples, Florida and Colchester, VT, died Sunday, August 24, 2008 at her son's home surrounded by her loving family after a brief battle with cancer.

She was born in Cumberland, RI on December 16, 1934, the daughter of the late Charles J. and Melina (St. Thomas) Brehio.

Pauline was married to Joseph J. Germani, Sr. on February 15, 1963. She later worked for 18 years at the Royal Electric Corporation. Pauline also held the position of Union Steward for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1196. She was also a member of the Burlington Elks Lodge # 916.

Among Pauline's many interests she loved fishing, dancing, traveling the country, taking care of her husband and children and living life to it's fullest.

She leaves her husband of 45 years, Joseph J. Germani, Sr. of Naples, FL and Colchester, VT; her children, Joseph 'Jay' Germani, Jr. and his wife Lori of Colchester, Lisa G. Carpenter and her husband Brian of Milton VT; two grandchildren, Tyler D. Pratt and Travis W. Fisk; three brothers, Charles J. Brehio of Thomaston, CT; Wilbur Brehio of Charlestown, NH; Philip Brehio and his wife Dorothy of Charlestown, NH; one sister, Mary Musiol of East Providence, RI; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Pauline was predeceased by three sisters, Irene Miller, Eva Baker and Theresa LePage.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Paulines name may be made to the Hospice of the Champlain Valley, 1110 Prim Rd., Colchester, VT 05446. The funeral for Mrs. Germani will be from the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket, Friday at 9:00am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Josephs Church, 193 Walcott Street, Pawtucket at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are invited. The calling hours will be Thursday 4-7pm in the funeral home. For directions and guest book signatures please visit manningheffern.com
