Peter Jacavone Obituary
Born in Johnston, he was the son of the late Albert and Bessie (Imondi) Jacavone. Mr. Jacavone was a Korean War Army Veteran.
Peter lived on Atwood Avenue for 77 years and together with his wife raised 11 children. Peter owned the former J&W Casting Inc. and for the last 25 years he proudly owned and operated Jacavone Garden Center in Johnston. Peter loved running and managing his Garden Center with his wife and family. He took pride in growing his beautiful plants and flowers and will be missed for the smile he greeted his customers with. Peter had a 'common sense' knowledge of gardening that he often but humorously reminded others couldn't be found in books. Peter led by example and was a hard worker all his life. He silently had pride in all his childrens accomplishments.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children; Peter Jacavone, Jr. and his wife Valerie of Johnston, James Jacavone and his wife Jamie of Johnston, Michael Jacavone and his wife Lynn of Coventry, Anthony Jacavone and his wife Lianne of Johnston, Michele Pistocco and her husband Ed of Johnston, Dino Jacavone and his wife Connie of Cranston, Nancy Riccardi and her husband Joseph of North Providence, Maria and Robert Jacavone of Johnston, and the late Denise Jacavone and Andrea Jacavone Mancini. He was the grandfather of Peter III, David, Julia, Jessie, Jared, Nicole, Anthony Jr., Zachary, Aubrey, Dino Jr., and Isabella Jacavone, Lauren and Eddie Pistocco. Mr. Jacavone was the brother of Jennie Caprarelli of Cranston and the late Vincent Jacavone, Sr.
His funeral will be held on Monday at 8:15 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Johnston at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting Hours Sunday 4-8 p.m.

I am so sorry about Mr. Jacavone's passing. He no doubt was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and an exceptional kind and very knowledgable "Business man". Only knowing Mr. Jacavone for I was a dedicated customer of his exceptional "Garden Center". Everytime I would visit and make my purchases of plants and gardening supplies, he was always there to answer all my questions..(I, not having that "Green Thumb"), He was always there with the perfect advice.
He will surely be missed, but no doubt, his Legacy will live on through each one of you.
Heaven has another true "ANGEL", along with one of his loving daughters, especially "Andrea", was I came to know as a wonderful person as well, through the Family Business, who will be together, once again.
