I grew up spending many a summer at the Greenwich Club and became friendly with the Nelson Family. I am shocked to hear of his passing. Many fond memories of swim team and those infamous dances. My deepest condolences to the entire Nelson family.

I am so very sorry for your tragic loss! I knew Pete at Hendricken and he was my FIJI Brother at URI. Pete was such a kind and gentle person and we always had so much fun hanging out back in college. The world will not be the same place without Pete. He will be greatly missed!!!!

Pete was a truly remarkable person that will be dearly missed. In the 30 years I have known him Pete always brought a genuine smile to the face of everyone around him. Nelly's unforgettable infectious giggle, easy manner, and open personality gave everyone around him a positive lift and a blueprint for how to live life. But Pete was more than just fun, he was also a great friend and a truly caring and generous person. On behalf of the Torres family, our condolences to his family and to all who knew him.

Pete and I were roommates freshmen year at URI and although we lost touch a few years after graduation he holds a special place in my heart. My God. What a shock to hear of Peter's passing. I worked with Pete for several years. Pete was a genuine family man who always had a smile for everyone. I'll remember the twinkle in his eye and the home-made whiskey cake he shared with the office on several occasions. Sympathies to his wife, children and extended family.

Like so many others, I can't find the right words to say how sad it has been learning of the loss of Peter. I feel like I have lost a younger brother. To the entire Nelson clan,
I am beyond saddened to hear about the loss of Pete. He was simply one of the good ones in life. He was a great friend; always there for you - making you smile or laugh. I cannot imagine how deep your sorrow runs but know he will always be loved and chrished by all. Tale solace in the fact that he left two beautiful boys that will be a wonderful reminder of Pete.

Words cannot express how devastated we are for the loss of our friend, Peter...such a profound loss. We adored Peter. Kelly and family , words can't express how heartbroken Boris and I are to hear of the passing of Pete. My husband from day one has expressed his fun loving college days with Pete and the special friendship they shared. Boris always says what a amazing great friend he was to him and how everyone loved him in college. I finally got the pleasure to meet him in person and had a amazing time at the polo match with you guys. I witnessed a amazing friendship between the two of them. We grew up with Pete and the Nelson Family in EG with many fond memories including summers @ the Greenwich Club (swim team, Splash Dances, game room, can opener's off the high dive), playing sports together, many good times at URI and then living briefly together in Barrington several years ago. Pete's smile and good natured soul will carry in our hearts forever. We are completely saddened by this loss and our thoughts and prayers go to Kelly, Connor, Gavin and the Nelson family.
