Raymond Silva Obituary
age 51, of Ocean Ave., Cranston, died unexpectedly on May 22, 2019 at RI Hospital. He was born in Providence, a son of Raymond J. Silva, Sr of Seekonk and Naima (Abdus-Sabur) Ansari of Providence.
Ray worked as a Longshoreman for Local 1329 and was a Pittsburg Steeler Fan.
He is survived by his children; Rhaea Silva of Bradenton, FL, Jahnna Silva of Ellenton, FL, Arabella Carmen Silva of Providence and 1 granddaughter Aliyana Bivens. He is survived by his siblings; Shawn Cordwell of Martha's Vineyard, Daniel Silva of Seekonk, Shakirah "Kitten" Silva of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Rayna Silva of Seekonk, many cousins, nieces and nephews. Ray leaves his stepmother Cheryl Silva, his stepfather Farid Ansari and his former spouse Carmen Silva.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Thursday at 10am in the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4-8pm. www.rebellofuneralhome.com

6 years is crazy.. Still Seems Just like yesterday. I remember the call, the tears, the screams. So much has happened since you been gone. I hope your in heaven, watching over all your girls & Granddaughter. You were the most important person in my life & God took you from me. So not fair. The pain hasn't gotten any easier, I've just learned to live with it. I miss you so much Daddy. I pray your at peace. I love you with my whole heart.

How was i only able to talk and laugh with you for 12 years? The day i found out you weren´t here anymore, i was waiting all day to go home and call you. I´m glad i could never relate to the stories other people tell about their fathers hurting them or abandoning them. You were always calm, never yelled, and cared so much about me and my siblings. Even gabe. I realize god does things for a reason, but what reason could he possibly have for taking you away from me at 12 years old? I wish still in my super shy phase then and didn´t like hugging anybody. But i would do absolutely anything to hug you right now. These messages left from your family members and friends really shows how loved you are. Everyone loved you. I miss you so much, and it´s so unfair that you aren´t here with me.

I feel like this a bad joke .., and your going to call me and say what up Carmen My heart is broken and in pieces and I'm trying to be strong for our daughter but it's getting harder and harder. Memories play over and over and I look for signs of you in everything. I was reading one of your letters and laughed on how you signed them beast our inside joke. Than looked at your one of your last text when I asked you to get the umbrella and your silly reply had me laughing. No paper can define the love we had for each other ..love was always there from the moment you propose to our wedding to Bellas birth and our move to FL. And to this day, you knew my heart and I knew yours. But now how do I be strong for our daughter cause I don't know, who am I call late at night when I punish her again or When she needs help with homework I can't do..you meant so much to her, I will always keep your memory alive for her and share every memory and everything I have of us with her, watch over us and always be by our side. I missed you already and now I'm so sad that I won't get to hang out again, hear your laughter or witness the beauty of your soul that could so easily be seen and felt whenever you entered a room. I'll always remember the good times at Kitten's and Sisson street, tooling around out and about on the east side with the crew, the beach house with Danny when you made the funniest hat of all, when you brought your daughter to show her off, so proud...and way back in the day studying in the hallway with Raquel at Joslin Street school because we were the good kids. Uncle Ray you were definitely a great spirit and I understand why my dad and you were such best friends. You both were almost one in the same. When my dad passed you made a promise to look out for us and you held true on that. Forever thankful for that. You were one of the very few who actually did. My cousins and your family were lucky to have such an amazing man like you in their lives. I can just hear you and my dads boisterous laughs now, going back and forth over and Steelers vs Titans game. I love you unc, you will truly be missed. Watch over everyone and continue to allow your presence to be felt so they know everything will be ok.
