Robert Eddy Obituary
age 54, of Posnegansett Avenue, Warwick, died on Friday, December 16, 2016, at Kent County Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Christine E. "Tina" (Briggs) Eddy.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Francis A. "Frank" Eddy and Columbia M. (Monti) Eddy, he was a life-long Warwick resident.
Mr. Eddy was a product engineer at Pentair in Warwick for the last 20 years. He was a member of the Warwick Firefighters Association.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three brothers, John Eddy, Michael Eddy and Tom Eddy, all of Warwick; his mother-in-law, Diann L. (Lawton) Cipollone of North Kingstown; his father-in-law, Charles A. Briggs of Coventry; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. He was the step-son-in-law of the late Richard J. Cipollone.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 21, at 9 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Timothy Church, 1799 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick. www.barrettandcotter.com

Today, we might've said our final goodbye's, but it's just not enough for me. I wanna know why it had to be YOU! I want reasons, I want answers. But even if there was a way for me to get my answer, I'd still never accept this. My heart is aching. I'm mad, I'm sad, I'm in disbelief, I'm heartbroken.. but I'm happy that you're no longer in pain. You were the last person on earth to deserve that. I'm so numb but full of emotions at the same time. This is the hardest thing I've faced yet. My uncle, my second father. No one could ever say anything negative about you. You were one of a kind, beautiful from the inside to the outside. You had a positive impact on anyone who was blessed enough to have you in their life. Auntie might feel like she's going through hell right now, but I'll remind her all the time; how lucky she was to be the one to have your heart. Even with everything you were facing, you're main concern was her. You were more worried about her, and that just shows the kind of loving, affectionate person you were. If there's one thing I'm able to give you, it's to promise you, that auntie will always be taken care of. We we all get her through this. We'll miss you every single day. You were adored by everyone. If love alone could have saved you, you'd still be here. I wish there was a way to let you know that; how loved you were. It's not right that you were taken from us so soon, especially when the world needs more people like you. We miss you so much that it hurts. The family is changed forever. I love you Uncle❤

My uncle was one of the best men out there. Such a loving, caring husband to my Auntie Tina. He was taken from all of us way too soon. He is gone but he will NEVER be forgotten. Heaven gained an angel.

I was lucky to spend my late teens and early 20's working with Bobby in a market every day of the week we would share our stories and jokes. Thinking back I smile , having known Bobby made my life a better life. His spirit will always be with me.

I was so sad and shocked to hear my cousin Bobby had passed away. Right away my memories of my childhood came back to me of my 4 awesome cousins.. Bobby being the quiet one, near perfect I thought. I'm so sad to hear my buddy is gone but I'm also happy to know he's not in pain any longer. My heart goes out to all my friends in the Eddy family and most importantly to Tina.
