I am sorry to read of Ruth's passing. We both worked at GE and Ruth set a very good example for me. Truly a woman with kindness and patience and a smile. My prayer is that she is now with our Lord and at peace. Sincerely,

What a blessing Ruth was to me! I will miss our telephone conversations where she caught me up with all the goings-on with my Hillsgrove and Open Table friends. And what great memories she's left me. But what a welcome I bet she received in Heaven!

Ruth you were a wonderful person and all who knew you will miss you. I only knew you for a few years but you certainly made my life better because I knew you. You made life better for all those who knew you.

Ruth was a good, good human being. She was courageous, patient, and kind. She was one who dared to risk in the journey of faith. She leaves a remarkable legacy on that path for others, completing the 'course set before her' with great grace and dignity.

A light has gone out of my life,
A loss I can never regain.
It cuts to my soul like a knife
and my heart reels with the pain.
We made time for lunch once a year,
plus phone calls across the country.
She'd ask every detail to share.
She was like a mother to me.
She couldn't take my mother's place,
A spiritual mother, God's gift, I agree.
My surrogate mom, full of God's grace.
She took an interest in me.
I knew her most all of my life,
With her I never had to pretend -
My fifth grade Sunday School teacher,
A mentor, my dearest friend.
Each Thanksgiving a tear overflows,
on Mother's Day, and all of the year.
When someone asks “list your heroes?”
Ruth's name will always be there.
The greatest comfort to me,
with God in heaven she will be.
One day we will sit down to tea,
together for eternity.
