Rest in Peace my loveliest, nicest and finest 'American Grandma' at 92 years young-at-heart!

I am so sad to hear about the passing of dearest Ruth - the last sibling of our great ol' generation of proud Swemerican relatives... especially on her late husband Norman D. Nelson's and his sister Mildred's side (migrating from my mother's Norra Vånga of Västergötland in Sweden in the late 19th Century for the textile mill in Pontiac some four generations ago) but also visiting her and her brother Harold's relatives in Swedish Halland when I was little. Harold and Mildred were the parents I never could meet, while studying in Washington D.C. 09/10 and finally visiting my Swemerican relatives by Christmas plus in the Summer for some Beautiful New England weeks, of their daughter and my 'American Mom' Mrs. Shirley E. Nordquist. Over these sunny visits I had the pleasure of finally meeting Shirley's dear aunt Ruth for nice lobster dinners, interesting stories from her childhood and of kind Norman (who sent me yearly jubilee gift stamp books as a postman)I never met plus fun Christmas celebrations.

Yet I am also glad to have gotten to know a refined and strong lady of Swedish-American cultural and work ethics with her "How Swede it is" bumper sticker and VASA order engagement giving memories for Life in her good 80's :-)

Still it is so sad to miss her funeral at naturally scenic St. Paul's Lutheran Church of our Warwick this Friday :-(

Thank you for everything, God Bless and take as good care of Norman and your family in the next Providence dear Ruth!

As a member of Ruth's family in Sweden I send our deepest condolences to her family in U.S.A.
Ruth will be missed but we keep all dear and happy memories of her in our hearts.
I met Ruth for the first time 1983 in Göteborg when she was visiting us together with Norman and Martha. Then I met her at the Scandinavian Home in 2010 together with Shirley Nordquist, my husband Benny and our sons Daniel and Fredrik.
She was so kind and lovely and we have had a lot of fun and good laughs.

Mrs. Lafauci was my first grade teacher at Eden Park School back when her name was still Miss Johnson. She got me off to a good start in life.

Mrs. LaFauci was my teacher at Eden Park Elementary School in Cranston, RI during the 1950s. I still carry things today that she taught me then. My deepest sympathy to her family. May this dear woman, who influenced so many young impressionable children, rest in peace.

Ruth was my teacher I think in first grade. She was a nice caring teacher who helped me when I was having trouble with my school work.
