It is with great sadness, and utter disbelief that another beautiful family has to lose their precious loved one. Scott was a wonderful young man. He played cards here in our home on Super Bowl, he would always manage to strike up a conversation about our Son Justin, keeping his memory alive. He would always ask us about him, never feeling uncomfortable. He was a special human being! May God be with the Deware family in the days, weeks, and years ahead. While we have not had contact for many years, Scott played a significant role in my childhood --- the number of memories are too vast to count --- he will be remembered fondly and my heart breaks for this loss. My deepest condolences to his family for this unimaginable heartache. Heaven has another angel.

The Dewares were my second family growing up and I spent countless hours with Scott, just being boys. Though we haven't spoken or seen each other in 20 years, I will always cherish the timeless memories of my childhood that we created. Your family is in my thoughts.

I didn't know Scott as an adult, but as one of "the younger kids" in our neighborhood growing up he was always kind and playful. Very sorry to hear this news. My heart goes out to this very nice family. You don't deserve this fate.

When my mom called me and told me about Scott's passing, the first memory I had was the day that Gail and Freeman brought him home from the hospital. For the 10 years we were neighbors, Scott was like another brother to me. The memories that we all had growing up together will never been forgotten. My thoughts are with Jeanne, their children, and especially Gall, Free, and Heather.
