STEPHEN STABILE Obituary

STABILE, STEPHEN M., SR., 49, of Greene, passed away Thursday at home. He was the beloved husband of Christina B. (Petrarca) Stabile. Born in Providence, he was a devoted son of John B. Stabile, Sr. of Florida and Angelina (Saieta) Agin of Cranston. Stephen was Chief of Grounds Maintenance for the State of Rhode Island Department of Corrections for 28 years. He was a member of The Rhode Island Brotherhood of Correctional Officers. He was the loving father of Stephen M. Stabile, Jr. and Rachel M. Stabile, both of Greene. Caring brother of John B. Stabile, Jr. of West Palm Beach, FL and Helen R. Stabile of Boynton Beach, FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00 am in SS John & Paul Church, South Main Street, Coventry. Entombment will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday 5-8 pm in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). In lieu of flowers, gifts in Stephen's memory to the Stephen & Rachel Education Fund c/o Citizens Bank, 738 Tiogue Ave., Coventry, RI 02816 would be appreciated. www.murphyfuneralhomes.org
