We are saddened to learn of Suzanne's passing; The Knight Family lovingly adopted one of our precious labbies, Payton, and we were so grateful. Suzanne many times came to our aid in doing homevisits in the Rhode Island area, and helped other labs find their forever homes. Our thoughts and prayers are with Grover and Alex (and Payton) at this difficult time. Your friends at American Lab Rescue

Suzanne and I met when our boys were attending Trailside Day Care Center, which seems like just yesterday. We’d meet at Dunkin’ Donuts on the corner of Hope Street and Rochambeau Avenue on Saturday morning and delight in watching the boys play together. We’d have long relaxing chats while slowly drinking our coffees. The boys were so little then, their feet not even touching the floor, and eating just one donut. Alex and Spencer went on to attend The Henry Barnard School. Over the years, our families would see one another at school functions and sporting venues, especially soccer fields and basketball courts. Eventually, Suzanne and Grover were introduced to “Grampy and Grammy”, Spencer’s grandparents. The Lawson’s and Grassie’s have had the privilege of spending many special evenings with the Knight family, both at their house as well as “Rehoboth Disney”. Osso Bucco, St. Francis Zinfandel, Grover’s song about Suzanne (one more time!) and Alex’s early love of trains come to mind as some of the many fond memories. Suzanne, you were a loyal friend with an incredibly kind heart, and we will miss you. Grover and Alex, you are in our thoughts and prayers. All my love, Jennifer

Suzanne and I attended Erasmus Hall HS in Brooklyn NY together and then went on to become room mates during our sophomore year at SUNY Binghampton. My memories of Suzanne and of the times that we shared are all wonderful....she was a beautiful person and her loss will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved her.

Suzanne was a very special friend who brightened the lives of all who knew her. I have so many fond memories of the time we spent together at school and in NY...rides in her blue T-bird, tap dancing across the room, playing pinochle, talking for hours and always having fun. Suzanne was never afraid to reach for her dreams - both large and small - and that's how she lived her life. I am grateful I had the chance to know her and I will miss her always.

Nobody could make gumbo like Suzanne! I am thinking now of this summer on Deer Isle and watching her enjoy a lobster dinner with her family and friends....
