Beth Kelly Obituary
Beth Kelly, 49, of Duryea, passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, at Hospice Community Care, Dunmore.
She was born in Duryea, Feb. 10, 1963, and was the daughter of Beverley (Rodgers) Gale and the late Nick Gale.
Beth was a member of the Brick United Methodist Church, Duryea. She was a graduate of Pittston Area High School. For many years she was employed by Topps Chewing Gum, Duryea. She was actively involved with the Hughestown Girls Softball League and with Duryea Wild Cats Cheerleading. Beth was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and friend, and she will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
In addition to her mother, Beth is survived by her husband of 29 years, Walter Kelly; her daughters, Jennifer Halford and her husband, James, of West Pittston, and Jamie Kelly, of Duryea; her sisters, Cathy Altieri and her husband, James, of Hughestown, and Cherie Youse and her husband, James, of Weston, Fla. Also surviving are her granddaughter, Madison Kelly; her mother-in-law, Faye Kelly Lamoreux, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, William Kelly.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea, with the Rev Sharon Dietz of the Brick United Methodist Church, Duryea, officiating. Friends may call Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be held at St. John's Cemetery, Duryea.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
