Clyde C. Frey, 87, went to be with his Lord on August 21, 2016, at Menno Haven Nursing Home. He was born on November 6, 1928, in Chambersburg , PA to Henry and Sarah (Cockley ) Frey. He was a farmer in the Chambersburg area all of his life and, after retiring from farming, he worked at Franklin Hardware for seventeen years. He was a member of Chambersburg Mennonite Church.
He is survived by his five children, Dennis (husband of Margie) Frey of Elizabethtown, PA, Janet (wife of David Henry) Martin of Shippensburg, Brenda (wife of Dean) Lehman of Chambersburg, Herbert (husband of Virginia) Frey of Chambersburg, and Larry (husband of Charlene) Frey of Chambersburg. Clyde has 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He is survived by one sister, Vera Lehman. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Louise Diller Frey, a great-grandchild, Alivia Lehman, and a brother, Paul Frey.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 26 at 11:00 AM in the Chambersburg Mennonite Church with Revs. Jerry Roth and Larry Lehman officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 PM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave., Chambersburg and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
