Jeffrey Bert

Jeffrey Mark Bert SR. 53, of Chambersburg and Lititz, PA, passed away December 17, 2010 after many years of suffering from damage from radiation treatment for a tumor and most recently pneumonia. He resided at Falling Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation home for the past year. He was born January 3, 1957.
He is survived by one son Jeffrey M. Bert JR, husband of Amy (Wingert), Chambersburg, PA; two sisters: Teresa R. (Bert) Dodd wife of Ric, Virginia Beach, VA; and Stacey R. (Brown) Brennert wife of George, Monroe Township, NJ; two grandchildren: Addison Rose Bert, Zachery Lee Bert Chambersburg, PA; survived by 2 nephews and 2 nieces: Trevor R. Thomas, husband of Laurel, Newport News, VA; Nichole A. Jacobs wife of Ryan, Lorain OH; Sydney A. Brennert, Monroe Township, NJ; and Jordan R. Brennert, Monroe Township, NJ; two great nephews; one great niece.
Preceded in death by his mother Donna R. (Reed) Brown, and step father Harold W.R. Brown, grandparents: Rosalie E (Uglow) Etter and Paul (Jack) Etter. Jeff was a graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School. He was a US Army veteran. He drove a cdl truck before becoming disabled. He has recently looked forward to visits from his son and family and his uncle Jim Bert, and enjoyed NASCAR, classic rock, bingo, and fishing.
A memorial service will be held at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, on Wednesday December 22, 2010 at 3 PM with Lawton Jacobs officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice, would be appreciated by the family.
