Patricia C. Wollyung

Patricia C. Wollyung Patricia Chapman Wollyung, 75, of Chambersburg, died unexpectedly on Monday, February 10, 2014, in her home. Born on July 8, 1938, in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Joseph P. and Alice Stutz Chapman. A graduate of B.V.M. High School in Pottsville, Pat then attended Marywood College in Wilkes Barre. She had worked in the Pottsville Library and later the Coyle Free Library in Chambersburg. She had also been employed as a cafeteria aide at the Chambersburg Middle School, where she was affectionately known as "Mrs. W." She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, and the Charles Nitterhouse VFW Post 1599 Ladies Auxiliary. Pat is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert B. Wollyung, whom she married December 28, 1963; their two children, Robert J. Wollyung (wife, Kat) of Munroe Falls, Ohio, and Erin L. Wollyung of Carlisle; a sister, Kay Mattea, and brother, Mike Chapman (wife, Theresa), all of Pottsville. A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 14, 2014 in Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, with the Rev. James R. O'Brien officiating. Immediately following the Mass, the family will receive friends at the Knights of Columbus, 336 E. Garfield St., Chambersburg. Interment will be private in Corpus Christi Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 3544 North Progress Avenue, Suite 101, Harrisburg, PA 17110; or to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road West, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
