James Richardson Obituary

James Paul "Jim" Richardson, 89, of Rochester Mills, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025.
Jim was born Feb. 27, 1936, to John and Mary (Houck) Richardson in Smithport, Indiana County.
Jim was a member of the Marchand United Methodist Church. He worked at NAC Carbon for over 30 years before his retirement in 2008. Jim enjoyed taking care of his house, mowing his yard, vegetable gardening, picking all kinds of berries, playing cards, coin collecting, fishing and hunting, often taking his nephew out hunting when he was younger. Jim always took pride in his cars. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by two daughters, Tamara (Tammy) Work, Rossiter, and Jamie Jordan and husband Bill, Punxsutawney, two grandchildren, Tara Martz and husband Ben, and Rachel Work and future husband Jacob McCoy, Meadville; six great-grandchildren, Ava, Liam, Luna, Onyx, Landyn and Dasha; and a sister, Bernice Homan, Rochester Mills.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marie Ann (Cooper) Richardson, Feb. 27, 2021; a granddaughter, Jacquelyn Jordan; two brothers, John and Denny Richardson; and two sisters, Ethel Gardner and Mary North.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 4 p.m., with Pastor Rob Van Fossen officiating at the McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767. Interment will be at Mahoning Union Cemetery, Marchand.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Church of God, either the Youth Group or Parking Lot Fund, 23 Skyview Drive, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
