Tia Marie Dobson

1986 - 2016

Tia Marie Dobson, 30, of Knox Dale, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016.

Tia was born Feb. 1, 1986, in Brookville, a daughter of the late James S. Dobson and Connie F. (Jeffries) Piekielek of Rossiter, who survives.

Tia was a registered nurse who was awarded a pin for the Most Loving & Compassionate Nurse by her nursing school. She was salutatorian in school, having missed valedictorian by only .05. She was a devoted and caring mother who adored her children and always put them first. Her beautiful smile and caring nature won her many friends who will miss her deeply. She was a loving mother, daughter, aunt and friend.

In addition to her mother, Connie, she is survived by three children, Majayla Dobson, Tyger Dobson and Zaden Miller, all of Knox Dale; a brother, Joshua Dobson and wife Audrey of Anita; a sister, Shannon Dobson of Rossiter; her maternal grandmother, Christina Mullins of Knox Dale; her maternal grandfather, Homer Jeffries of Punxsutawney; her paternal grandfather, Howard Dobson of New York; five nephews; a niece; and her dog, Dudley.

In addition to her father, James, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Rosalind Fisher-Pearce.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, at the funeral home, with Pastor Ron Bidell officiating.

Interment is private.
