Paul Bering

Paul Bering passed away on March 2, 2022 at the age of 84 in Torrance, CA. Paul was born March 29, 1937 in Carlsbad, New Mexico, to Paul A. Bering and Mabel Annette Wiggins. He attended the University of Oklahoma and was a proud Sooner. Paul served four years in the US Air Force, serving in Greenland and in Tucson, AZ, where he met his future wife, Phyllis Hudson. They married Jan 27, 1962. Paul loved to travel with his wife and close friends and enjoyed being a member of many local groups, including the Margarita club, Bunco and Squarelinks. An avid golfer, he enjoyed playing every week with his friends for many years. Paul is survived by his wife of 60 years, Phyllis of Torrance, CA; daughter, Wendy Puchrik (Ned) and grandchild Christina of Torrance. While Paul faced multiple health issues in his last year, he always maintained his usual positive attitude and optimism throughout and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
