KAY BERNADETTE PARSONS

KAY PARSONS Kay Bernadette Parsons, age 73, of Beatty, Nev., died at home on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, from an extended illness. She was born on June 26, 1940, in Masonville Township, Mich., to Richard Elmer Hicks and Marie Cousineau Hicks. She grew up in Manistique, Mich., moved to Wyoming in 1975, and then to Nevada in 1989. She was active in her community in the Lions, VFW Auxiliary, Senior Center Board, Museum Board, Chamber of Commerce and Project Council. She loved spending time on motorcycles, travel, reading, computer games, her 3 dogs: Maddie, Hobo & Izzy, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. At the time of her death she was married to her love Leslie Parsons, they were married on June 26, 2000. Kay chose that day, the same day as her birthday, so Les wouldn't forget her birthday or anniversary. Kay is survived by her husband Leslie Parsons; sister, Maxine Makinster, Buffalo, Wyo.; brother Donald Hicks, Hart, Mich.; her 3 children: Ernie Jenerou, Upton, Wyo.; Lynda Auer, Cody, Wyo.; and Donna (Buckey) Walters, Gillette, Wyo.; 8 grandchildren: Jessica (Kellen) Whitehead, Cody, Wyo.; Sarah Auer, Cody, Wyo.; Kaycee Walters, Gillette, Wyo.; Kyle Walters, Gillette, Wyo.; Richard Jenerou, Gillette, Wyo.; Allen Jenerou, Lusk, Wyo.; Donald Jenerou, Lusk, Wyo.; Cody Jenerou, Beatty, Nev.; 2 step-daughters, Lona (Craig) McVey, Washington DC; Lynn Parsons, Hawthorne, Nev.; 4 step-grandchildren; niece Allson Casler, Beatty, Nev.; and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers Richard & William Hicks, son Allen Jenerou, two infant children Connie & Craig, and brother in law Gerald Parsons. She will be missed by everyone who knew her and loved her. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 on Sat., January 18th, at the Beatty Community Center, 100 A Avenue South, Beatty, NV.
