MOLINE, IL - Emma M. Wynes, 81, of Moline, IL, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023, at her home.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Arrowhead Ranch in Coal Valley, IL.
Emma M. Thompson was born in Moline on May 12, 1942, to Odress and Mayme (Wiley) Thompson. She married Gerald E. Wynes in Moline on June 17, 1960, who preceded her in death on February 10, 2020.
She was employed as the Bookkeeper for H & H Music & Vending in Moline and was a member of the Moline Evangelical Church.
She enjoyed traveling with the family in the RV and going to outdoor concerts in Moline. Emma also loved gardening and baking.
Survivors include two daughters: Terri Roach (Carl Coleman) of Thornton, CO, and Tirza (Ben) Frank of Moline, IL; three grandchildren: Cindy Hoover, Taylor Reilly, and Allison Frank; and three great-grandchildren: Emily, Lily, and Luna.
She was preceded in death by her husband, son Thomas E. Wynes, daughter, Tonya Reilly, brother, Charles Thompson, and her parents.
