EAST MOLINE-Jo Ann Clark, 75, of East Moline, IL, passed away Sunday July 24, 2022 at River Crossing, Moline, IL.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 28, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Visitation will be prior to services from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Jo Ann was born April 16, 1947 in Moline, a daughter of Thomas, Sr. and Betty Johanson Marckese. She married Ralph E. "Pete" Clark on September 10, 1971 in Moline. He preceded her in death on September 8, 2020.
The majority of her career was working as an accounting clerk for Happy Joes.
Jo Ann was a master gardener, and gardening was her passion. She was a member of the Silvis Gardening Club of which she served as president for two years. She enjoyed flying and traveling with Pete in their retirement years.
Jo Ann will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful mother, wife and sister. She remained the heart of her family. Jo always made her home a welcoming and gathering place for her family and friends.
Surviving are her daughters, Stephanie Clark and Sarah Clark, both of East Moline; brother, Thomas (Betty) Marckese, Geneseo; sisters, Patt (Guy) Williams, Palm Harbor, FL and Christine Marckese (Jim Spencer), San Diego, CA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and additional family.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband; brother, Mark Marckese; and her parents.
Memorials in honor of Jo Ann may be made to ARC of the Quad Cities, who have been very supportive and continue to be of her daughter, Sarah.
