Joan E. Brumbaugh

Joan E. Brumbaugh, 92, of Moline, Illinois, died Thursday, March 26, 2026, in Allure of Geneseo, Geneseo, Illinois.

Services are 11 a.m. Thursday, April 2, at Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church, 1201 13th Street, Moline, with Rev. Janet Serafica officiating. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is one hour before the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Shriners Children's Hospitals. Trimble Funeral Home, Moline, is in charge of arrangements.

The former Joan Evelyn Coryell was born April 14, 1933, in Moline, to Richard and Astrid (Sievertsen) Coryell. She married John Arthur Brumbaugh on March 6, 1955, in Moline. He died January 4, 2017. She had been employed at the former Huebotter's Furniture in Moline. She was a member of Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church, where she served as church treasurer; past president of Junior Women's Club; and a member of 20th Century Women's Club. She enjoyed painting and playing bridge and euchre.

Joan is survived by two children and their spouses, Cheryl and Tom Littrel of Cambridge, Illinois, and Kenneth and Barbara Brumbaugh of Sacramento, California; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Paula Noland; and a sister, Carol Housley.
