Mark Lee Stevens

Mark Lee Stevens, a lifelong resident of Moline, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2024, at Illini Hospital in Silvis, IL. Born on April 9, 1954, in Moline, Illinois, Mark's 70-year journey through life was marked by laughter, devotion, and an unwavering kindness.
His life will be honored at Hope United Church of Christ in Moline on Saturday, July 6, 2024. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a,m., followed by an informal and casual celebration of life at 12:00 p.m.
Mark was the beloved husband of Nancy Lyons Stevens, with whom he shared a life full of joy and partnership for 48 years. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Brittney Stevens Wells (Steve Wells), and his son, his best friend, Thomas Mark Stevens. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Sue Stevens of Colona, IL. Other survivors include Mark's many aunts and cousins, and his dearly loved nieces and nephews, who will miss his humor and guidance. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Jane Knaack Stevens and William Stevens, and his grandparents.
A proud graduate of Moline High School, class of 1972. His professional journey began at American Air Filter and was followed by dedicated service at Swiss Valley Farms Dairy and Prairie Farms Dairy. Mark was a proud and active member of the International Teamsters Union for 30 years.
He was a very loyal fan of the Fighting Illini, the Moline Maroons, the Chicago White Sox, and the Chicago Bears. He shared these passions with his family, especially in watching the Sox lose games with his son, Tom.
Mark's loving nature was evident in the way he offered emotional support to his family.
