Patrick C. "Chuck" Mooney, 72, of East Moline, passed away, June 18, 2025, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Family directed memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Burial of cremains will be at Woodhull Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to Western Illinois Chapter of Delta Upsilon (P.O. Box 32 Macomb, IL 61455) or Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline.

Chuck was born on June 23, 1952, in Galesburg, IL, the son of Vincent P. and Patricia A. (Ritchey) Mooney. He married Susan L. Anderson in Moline, IL on September 29, 1979. In his early years, Chuck worked as an assistant golf professional at Indian Bluff Golf Course for 20 years and then at Dick's Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy for 20 years before retiring in 2024. Chuck was one of the founding fathers of the Western Illinois Chapter of Delta Upsilon Fraternity. He loved golf, was a fan of the Cubs and the Bears, and enjoyed Illinois basketball and football.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Mooney; son, Jeff Mooney; sister, Susan (Matt) Faber; nephews, Sean (Marta) Mooney and David Faber; nieces, Megan (Andy) Rowe and Dawn (Jason) Tucker.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mike Mooney.
