COLONA-Vera A. Rossow, 64, of Colona passed away June 18, 2023 at her daughter's home in Colona.
Funeral services will be 10am Friday at Schroder Mortuary, Colona. Visitation will be 4-7pm Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Dayton Corners Cemetery, Colona. Memorials may be made to the family.
Vera was born November 5, 1958 in Moline, IL the daughter of John and Mary (Kronsted) Fountain. She was a 1976 graduate of UTHS. Vera married Rodney "Bill" Rossow April 8, 1984 in Milan, IL. She worked as a bartender and at the Henry County Courthouse as a Jury Bailiff. Vera was a member of First Southern Baptist Church, Colona Fire Department Auxiliary, Colona Legion Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star, and IBSA Disaster Relief and was a t-ball coach.
Survivors include her husband Bill; daughter Nicole and Kyle Schofield; grandchildren Daniel and Isaac; siblings John (Janet) Fountain, David Fountain, and special friends Dawn Miles, Renee Stevens and Myrna Dennison.
Vera was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter Lisa, and her aunt Kay.
The family would like to thank Unity Point Hospice for the awesome care given to Vera.

Vera was apart of many great memories of my childhood years. Our parents were friends so we enjoyed playing games and when we got older sharing times at the legion. She will be missed by so many, May she Rest In Peace, Vera I will never forget you.
