Vivian W. Lodico, 85, of East Moline, IL, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.
Memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
Vivian was born July 12, 1938, in Iowa City, IA, a daughter of Raymond C. and Lucy B. (Sissel) Martin. She graduated from United Township High School, Class of 1956. Vivian and Robert J. Lodico were united in marriage on June 4, 1971, in East Moline. He preceded her in death on December 3, 2009.
Vivian was a licensed cosmetologist and owned Vivian's Beauty Shop in Silvis.
She never knew a stranger and often greeted others as "Sunshine" Vivian will be fondly remembered for her fun-loving sense of humor.
She enjoyed bowling, reading, astrology, and took up the piano as an adult. Some of her favorite times were those spent with friends and family. She will be greatly missed by all.
Surviving are her children: Sara (Scott) Schaab, Rapid City, IL, Allison (Joel) Ryser, Moline, IL, Corey (Amy) Lodico, Madison, WI, and Collin (Melinda) Lodico, Moline; grandchildren: Clark Cook, Bryan Schaab, Baileigh Schaab, Alex (Morgan) Ryser, Logan (Kelsey) Ryser, Abigail Schoeck, Sophie (Vincent) Lodico, Claire Lodico, Ryan Lodico, Megan Lodico, and Madison Lodico; great- grandchildren: Hudson, Jack and Callan; Aunt, Bonnie Rhode, Muscatine, IA; and several nephews and other family.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband; grandson-in-law, Austin Schoeck; two brothers: Marvin Martin and Steve Martin; and her sister, Diana Platt.
