Sorry to learn of Jim's death this morning. I met Jim when we were active in the ABA Tax Section Agriculture Committee. Our friendship carried over during time together in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. It was during that time that my wife and I got to know Jeannine and enjoyed their company. Jim was an outstanding attorney and always willing to share his expertise with others. Although I will miss him, I am pleased that he will be reunited in heaven with his beloved!

We are out of town and unable to make the visitation, but wanted you to know Jim has been a dear friend, and our lawyer for the past 25 years, seeing us through many legal crises, both personal and business. He was a rock in our lives and a personal friend as we shared bicycling, RAGBRAI, and farm experiences, along with our family drama. After our last meeting, HE bought US supper in Muscatine because he wanted us to experience one of his favorite eating places. He will always have a special place in our hearts. Jim was truly one of the good guys. He will be missed.

I was privileged to know Jim Nepples. He was a very nice man. Thoughts and prayers are with the family.
