ROCK ISLAND-Jeanette Fay Williams passed away after a brief illness Saturday, August 21, 2021. A Celebration of life will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, August 27, at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport, IA. Memorials may be made to the family. Jeanette was born on April 23, 1945 to Ernest and Vivian (Tate) Gillespie in Pocahontas, VA. She married Kenneth Williams in August of 1962 before moving to Rock Island, IL. She was a devoted housewife and mother before joining the workforce following Kenneth's retirement. Jeanette worked for 10 years at Hy-Vee and took pride in the relationships with her customers.
Jeanette was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother, always enjoying time spent with her family.
Those left to cherish Jeanette's memory include her loving husband of 58 years, Kenneth Williams, Davenport; son, Kenneth (Kay) Castellano, Davenport; daughter, Lisa Cavett, Davenport; grandsons, Brock Cavett, Riverside, CA, Bryan (Kat) Williams, Camas, WA. Landon Williams, Waverly, IA, Katlin (Chaleeque) Cho, Cedar Falls, IA, and Slater Williams, Ames, IA; granddaughter, Freya Williams, Austin, TX; and great-grandchildren, Cillian Allison and Kinley Williams.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, John Cavett, and multiple siblings.
