Funeral Services for Lynn L. Schulte, 72, a resident of Davenport, will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Davenport. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois. The family will greet friends from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 7th at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, downtown Davenport. Memorials may be made to Trinity Episcopal Cathedral or Humility Homes and Services. Lynn passed away Friday, December 3, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, surrounded by her family.
Lynn L. Christensen was born September 5, 1949, in Davenport, a daughter of Arnold and Vivian (Turner) Christensen. She was a graduate of Marycrest College. Lynn married Tom Schulte May 7, 1976, in Durant, Iowa. They have celebrated 45 years of marriage.
Lynn was an office administrator at North Park Mall, retiring after 30 years of service. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. Lynn enjoyed gardening, flowers, traveling, reading and various crafts. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeye football fan.
Those left to honor Lynn's memory include her husband Tom, Davenport; children: Joe Schulte, LeClaire, Iowa, and Katie (Adam) Wojciechowski, Bryant, Iowa; and sister, Peggy (John) Kapinski, Port Charlotte, Florida. She was known as "Aunt Lynn the Great" to numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Greg Christensen.
