BETTENDORF-Paul E. Sullivan, 66, of Bettendorf, died on Monday, May 16, 2022 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport. Memorial services for Mr. Sullivan will be held at 3:30 pm, Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home & Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 2 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Memorials may be made to family for a memorial fund that will be established at a later date.
Paul was born on April 6, 1956 in Rock Island, a son of Herbert and Margaret "Peg" (Raes) Sullivan. He married Cynthia Bottrell on July 2, 1994 in Bettendorf. Paul was a patient advocate at the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center, retiring in 2018 after over 30 years of service. He was a member of the Quad Cities Bicycle Club, Cornbelt Running Club and the Quad Cities Kayak Club. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking, skiing, and kayaking, as well as reading US history and watching classic movies. Mostly, he enjoyed time with his friends and family.
Survivors include, Cynthia Bottrell, Bettendorf; sister, Barbara Sullivan, Rock Island; brother and sister in law, David and Malia Sullivan, Rock Island; nephew, Kelly Sullivan, Geneseo; niece, Carly Sullivan and her spouse, John DeLuca, Chicago; great nephews, Jack and Marc.

I am so sorry for your loss Cyndi. I didn't ever get to meet Paul, but great people tend to find relationships with other great people. Knowing you, he must have been amazing.
