Roger Bekel
July 19, 1948-January 25, 2021
MOLINE-Roger M. Bekel, 72, of Moline, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at Clarissa Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
Visitation will be held 4-6pm, Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Rafferty Funeral Home, 2111-1st St A, Moline. Additional visitation will be 1-2pm, Friday, August 13, 2021 at Hope Lutheran Church, Brighton, IA with Graveside Services following at Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Brighton, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, University of Iowa Cancer Center or Hope Lutheran Cemetery.
Roger was born July 19, 1948 in Fairfield, IA, the son of Merle G. and Erma Maxine (Reeder) Bekel. He married Katherine L. Loats on June 16, 1979 in Spencer, IA.
Roger retired from QCA Spa's, Bettendorf, IA. He enjoyed gardening, photography, Coca Cola collecting and DJ'ed at Country Western Dances.
Survivors include his wife, Kathie; sisters, Marilyn McGuire, Fairfield, IA and Elaine (Leonard) Andeway, Richland, IA; brother, Donald (Nancy) Bekel, Fairfield, IA and many nieces and nephews.
