He was a loving person. More than once I was privileged to hold him close as we waited for the service at Church to begin.

I miss Scott. He was part of my Church family and I looked forward to speaking to him each Sunday. I wanted him to write his book and feel the value for himself that others of us did. In our last conversation we spoke of his battles and troubles, but when I said,"your spirit is strong" he agreed with enthusiasm.

Quite simply, I will miss Scott terribly. No words can express this hollow feeling. I watched Scott grow up alongside my son, as they were best friends from high school on. I fussed at him like one of my own and laughed at his silliness. Always kind, caring, and thoughtful. Even though he brought smiles and joy to others throughout his short time here, he seemed to be searching for his own happiness. It was heartwarming to see how genuinely happy he'd become in recent years. Such a loss is difficult for those left behind. My heart goes out to all. Be assured that when you least expect it and when you need it most, a joyful memory of Scott will pop into your mind and make you smile....cause after all, that's what he wants for us too...happiness <3

My memory of Scott will always be of a caring, loving, thoughtful and giving young man. I also think back to him as a baby---full of sweetness and mischief; very much loved by his family and friends. Today my heart aches.

How can such a bright, promising, joyful, loving guy like Scott be gone at the age of twenty-nine? It is devastating.
Paul introduced me to Scott soon after they found each other. It was sheer delight to be around them during those first years in Washington. They were so filled with love and joy. Scott was such a caring, humor-filled spark, and he brought so much to everyone, and especially to Paul.
I was so happy to go to their wedding on that beautiful sunny day in the hills of Ramona, and to see the beginnings of their life together therethe strong community of friends they had made, and the church that meant so much to them.
I will always miss Scott.
