Edwin Flippo Obituary

Edwin Lewis Flippo passed away on January 5, 2021, at his home in Sugar Land, Texas, at the age of 86. He was the loving husband of Audrey Flippo. They shared nearly 10 years of marriage together.

Born in Needville, Texas, on July 20, 1934, he was the son of Lee & Cynthia Flippo. He owned a small business in Spring, Texas, for a number of years.

Edwin and his wife Audrey were active members of Spring Woodlands Church. He enjoyed going to church, cooking, and reading and was dedicated to his family. In recent years due to failing vision he began a love for "talking books." He will be remembered by many as an outgoing person who made strangers into instant friends. His wife Audrey always referred to him as a good man.

Beloved husband, father and friend, he is survived by his wife Audrey Flippo, his sons Reuben Flippo and Edwin Dale Flippo, his daughter Theresa Flippo Grindstaff, and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

No services will be held. A private memorial will be held for the next of kin.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Altus Hospice or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America at alzfdn.org.
