Carl Heinert Obituary

BELLE FOURCHE - Carl (John, C.J.) Heinert, 54, Belle Fourche, South Dakota died Friday, December 5, 2003 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital. He was born September 6, 1949 in Belle Fourche to Ralph and Lena Heinert. He graduated from Belle Fourche High School in 1968 and attended Black Hills State College. Carl married Twila McKnight on June 21, 1969. In 1970 he began working in the Bentonite Industry with IMC, American Colloid and for the last eleven years has been working for Bentonite Performance Minerals. He was also owner of the Penquin Drive-In for eleven years. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend and was extended Grandpa for Granny's Gingerbread Day Care. Grateful for sharing in his life are his wife, Twila Heinert, Belle Fourche; daughters, Misty and husband Blaine Meyer, Belle Fourche and Jody and husband Brian Stapert, Belle Fourche; siblings, Louise Hartshorn, Orville, CA, Fernel Butts, Denver, CO, Ralph Jr. and wife Rita Heinert, Libby, MT, Helen and husband James Kraft, Belvidere, IL, Rosie and husband Loren Smith, Belle Fourche, SD, Julie and husband Leslie Snoozy, Belle Fourche and Don and wife Marja Heinert, Apopka, FL; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Lena. A Ceremonial Tribute will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 12 at the Calvary Temple Assembly of God in Spearfish with Reverend Dan Kent officiating. A Time of Remembrance will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the American West Steakhouse in Belle Fourche. Honorary pallbearers will be Troy Snoozy, John Doppler, Jim Stuart, Allen Hardison, Joel Severn, Lonny Smith, Shawn Hayden and Shawn Heinert. Music will be provided by Organist, Melanie Weatherstrong and Vocalist, Wayne Wipf. Arrangements are under the direction of Kline-Frost Funeral Chapel in Belle Fourche. The family has established a memorial fund.
