Mary Zimmerman Obituary
Born on July 11, 1960, Mary brought warmth and dedication to everything she touched. Alongside her husband of over 40 years, Steve Zimmerman, she helped build a beloved local institution-Fuddruckers in Rapid City. Known for its welcoming atmosphere and delicious food, the restaurant became a cherished gathering place for many in the community.
Mary found great joy in her home and garden. She took pride in cultivating beautiful flowers and creating a space filled with love and comfort. Road trips were another favorite pastime, offering her the chance to explore and enjoy life's simple pleasures. Her deep affection for her family and her precious dogs was evident to all who knew her.
She is survived by her devoted husband Steve Zimmerman; siblings John Dempster, Catherine Babbitt (Joe Babbitt), Tim Grooms, and very special sister Pam; as well as numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews who will miss her dearly.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents John Dempster and Jeanette Grooms; grandparents George and Rubie Rupe; and beloved mother-in-law Carolyn.
Mary's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. May her legacy bring comfort and peace to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
