Tyrone C. Mesteth Sr.

PORCUPINE - Tyrone C. Mesteth Sr., 49, Porcupine, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at Rapid City Regional Hospital. Survivors include three sons, Tyrone Mesteth Jr., Michael Mesteth and Travis Mesteth, a daughter, Kimberly Mesteth, his mother, Georgia Tail, and a brother, Donnie Mesteth, all of Porcupine; and eight sisters, Gloria No Neck, Darmalee Tail, Erna Shepard, Karen Red Elk-Mesteth, Eva Mesteth and Mona Mesteth, all of Porcupine, and Sonya Dubray and Bonita Andrews, both of Rapid City. Wake services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, at Porcupine School. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, at Porcupine School, with the Rev. Craig West officiating, and traditional Lakota services by Wilmer Mesteth and Mike Little Boy. Burial will be at St. Alban's Episcopal Cemetery in Porcupine. Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
