Allen Ziegler

Allen L. Ziegler, 88, of Muhlenberg Township passed away December 28, 2021 in Tower Health - Reading Hospital, West Reading. He was the husband of the late Gloria (Rothenberger) Ziegler who passed away on May 19, 2004 They had celebrated 50 years of marriage. Born in Reading, Allen was the son of the late John J. and Anna Mae (Decker) Ziegler. He proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1951 - 1954 stationed aboard the USS Menelaus. He worked for NGK Metals for 38 years, retiring in 1992 and then worked part time for Nabisco Foods for 20 years retiring in 2012. Allen loved going to the casino's, picking stocks, Dunkin Donuts coffee, Snuzzle’s, and spending time with his family. Allen is survived by his children, Karen (Ziegler) Fritz of Shillington, Troy Ziegler of Spring Township, Todd Ziegler and his fiancé, Kathy Hissinger, of Spring Township, granddaughter, Stephanie Fritz of Conshohocken, grandson Jack Ziegler of Cumru Township and his brother George Ziegler, husband of Sally of Reading. Allen was predeceased by his siblings Sadie Line, John Ziegler, Julia Sacco, Margaret (Peggy) Allen, and William Ziegler. Funeral services for Allen will be private at the request of the Family with a celebration of life service at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. The Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home in Temple is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
