Born October 5, 1926 in Malye Gorby, Russia, she was the daughter of Gregoire and Paraskeve (Bakrycheff) Kuzmine. She was the wife of the late Edward Barcz.
During World War II, she was forced to work in the labor camps in Germany, and after the war relocated to Paris, France, where she met and married Edward. They then moved to the United States and proudly became American citizens.
She was employed as a private cook for a prominent Berks County family and later worked at Hollywood Cleaners in West Reading.
Although she was never able to enjoy the company of her brother, who she lost during the war, and her sister, who lived in Europe, she had friends and neighbors nearby who loved her dearly.
