Arlene Joyce Halterman

Arlene Joyce Halterman, 80, of Denver, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at her home. She was born in West Reading to the late Harold and Helen A. (Keffer) Bohn and was the wife of Barry Halterman with whom she shared 42 years of marriage. She was a member of Reinholds V.F.W., where she worked for 54 years and was known as the "Best Bartender under the Sun", and she served as past president of the Ladies Auxiliary. She had also worked for A.N. Wolf Shoe Factory until it's closure. She was a wonderful wife and she loved her family, who were her life. In addition to her husband, Arlene is survived by, 3 children, Robert Hemling of Reinholds, Tim Hemling of Ephrata, and Kelly Shue of Sinking Spring; 3 grandchildren, Crystal Merkey of Denver, Brandon Pierce of Reamstown, and Tanya Serrano of York; 9 great-grandchildren, Austin Wolf, Kirstyn Schultze, Kayla Faish, Richie Merkey, III, Ayden Serrano, Roman Pierce, Peyton Pierce, Aubrey Serrano, and Bentley Gilbert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Ann Bohn. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Timothy L. Craven officiating. Interment will take place in the Fairview Cemetery Annex.
