She was the wife of William F. Ely.
Born in Temple, she was a daughter of the late John and Marie (Folk) Adam and stepdaughter of the late Arlene (Kline) Adam.
She was employed at Kelray Knitting Mills, Oley, then at Kraft Foods, Trexlertown. She then worked for East Penn Manufacturing, Lyons, and lastly worked for the Lutheran Home at Topton, prior to retiring. After retirement, she worked at Tarsus in Fleetwood.
She was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Oley, and the Oley Senior Citizens Group. She was also a member of the Oley Fire Company and Shoemakersville Fire Company Ladies Auxillary.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons: Jeff A., and wife, Lisa M., Oley; Terry L., and wife, Roxanne, Boyertown; Randy W., Fleetwood; and Greg S., and wife, Lisa L., Muhlenberg Township; and a brother, Robert Adam, Topton.
She is also survived by
her grandchildren: Jessica Stitzel, Brent Ely, Andrea Ely, Stephanie Wagner, Zachary Wagner and Travis Ely; as well as her great-grandchildren: Katie, Jakob, Caleb, Holden and Holly.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Debra Chesney, on Feb. 3, 2011; and a daugh-ter-in-law, Debra Ely, on Dec. 20, 2006.
Services will be held in Blankenbiller Funeral Home, 423 Main St., Oley, on Thursday, March 24, 2011, at 11 a.m. Friends and family are invited to the viewings on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township.
