Barbara Ellen Zuber

Barbara Ellen Zuber, 74, passed away on Tuesday, September 6th, 2022 at Reading Hospital Medical Center. Born in Manhattan, NY, she was a daughter of the late Estel Otis and Theresa (Amato) Francis. Barbara was a graduate of The High School of Performing Arts in NYC and Monroe Community College. She worked as an accountant for many years in the pharmaceutical industry until her retirement in 2018. Barbara was a natural entertainer; dancing, singing and acting. She performed in many choirs, most recently Opus One Chamber Choir. She was also very active in her church, serving as a lector, eucharistic minister, liturgy chairperson and choir member. Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Diane Buerke (Brian) of Reading, and Jennifer Adams of Rochester; brothers: Richard Francis of Long Island City, NY, Charles Francis (Diann) of Jackson, NJ, and Clifford Francis (Debra) of New York, New York; sister, Denise Zimber (fiance James McGlaughlin) of New Hampshire; grandchildren: Vincent Adams, Patricia Schenk, Aaron Adams (fiancee Selecia), Elizabeth Buerke, Patrick Buerke, Katherine Buerke, and Grace Buerke; and great-grandchildren, Leo and Cash. Barbara was predeceased by her ex-husband, Richard Zuber. Donations can be made in Barbara's memory to Miller Keystone Blood Center or Opus One Chamber Choir. A viewing will be held Thursday, September 8th, 2022 at 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. 739 Penn Avenue West Reading, PA 19611. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 9th, 2022 at 10:00 am at St John Baptist de la Salle RC Church. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. Edward J.
