Branson King Obituary

Branson Michael King, 23, of Windsor Twp., passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021 in J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. Born in Allentown, he was the son of David M. and Kathy C. (Cook) King, Windsor Twp. He graduated from Kutztown Area High School in 2016, and was currently in his junior year at California University of Pennsylvania, studying secondary education with a focus on history. Branson was an amazing person. He loved to play ice hockey and was probably the best definition of the word teammate, from top to bottom, on or off the ice. Branson was the person who needed nothing but gave everything. He loved to dance, and he made every moment more fun. He was an avid storyteller and was always ready with a joke. If fun was to be had, Branson was there. Spending time with his girlfriend Lyndsey, Fishing, the British Virgin Islands, parties, and listening to music were a few of his favorite activities. Branson had the smile to light up a stadium and the laugh to fill it. In addition to his parents, Branson is survived by a brother: Austin D. King, Scottsdale, AZ; a sister: Olivia K. King, Hamburg; paternal grandfather: Jay H. King, Jr., husband of Nadine (Heiter), Kempton, paternal grandmother: Linda R. (Mengle) King, Shomakersville; and maternal grandmother: Mary Jo (Turner) Boswell, Zebulon, GA, widow of James R. Boswell (predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Calvin E. Cook). He is also survived by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A viewing will be held Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm in The Bridge Church, 3561 Old 22, Hamburg, PA 19526, followed by the service at 6:00 pm. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Friedens Lutheran Cemetery, Stony Run. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Branson Michael King Memorial Scholarship (https://tinyurl.com/calupa). Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg is honored to assist the King family during this time. For online condolences, please visit www.leibenspergerfuneralhomes.com

Much love and support to Branson´s family. We worked together at Esposito´s and he was a funny and respectable man that lit up the room when he was here. He will be missed by everyone here.

I offer my prayers to the King family during this difficult time. Always considered Branson one of the finest young men I had the privilege of supporting during elementary school. Branson was an extremely talented young adult and quality school citizen. I consider his greatest legacy was his humble approach to supporting and sustaining others.
With Respect

Our prayers go out to the King family. During Branson´s High school years he spent a lot of time at our house with our son Max. He always had a smile on his face and was a joy to have in our home. He will be missed by so many.
