He was the husband of Cathy A. (Bennington) Alvord for 42 years. Born in Portland, ME, he was the son of the late
Ernie and Jeanne (Rundle) Alvord.
Mr. Alvord was honorably discharged from the United States Navy with a distinguished career serving in Pensacola, FL, as a Commissioned Officer.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Cathy, is a daughter, Cali R. (Alvord) Fetherolf, fiancée of Douglas Bendetti, West Lawn, and a son, Ian R. Alvord, husband of Courtney Alvord, Tampa, FL. There are also five amazing grandchildren: Madisyn, Griffin and Emersyn Fetherolf, and Jackson and Hailey Alvord.
Other survivors include twin sisters: Joyce Matzen, Tumwater, WA, and Judi
Lucas, Oregon.
Brice had a realistic
positive outlook on life's
affairs. He was always
willing to listen to others with understanding, love and encouragement. A father figure and true friend. He is missed on Earth and welcomed into Heaven.

Memorial service will be held Friday, October 25th, 2013 at 4:00 in Glad Tidings Church, 1110 Snyder Road, West Lawn, with military honors to follow.

cathy,cali,ion ..... he served god as he did his fellow men no words come to me for your grief stricken hearts, he was loved by all, hated by none, all we can do is take away what he felt in his heart, how he served the Lord, his heartfelt earnest to make you all safe, happy and bring a smile,i don;t ever remember a frown on his face, you had so much, embrace it,hold it dear and to bryce ...... thank you and RIP
