Charles DiFazio Obituary

Charles A. DiFazio, age 75, of Wernersville, died August 2, 2013 at 12:41 a.m. in his residence, with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Patricia (Bryan) DiFazio, who died September 15, 2007.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Angelo and Sarah (Smith) DiFazio.

Charlie was the owner of DiFazio Kitchens since 1975. He enjoyed car shows, the casino and spending time with his family; they meant the world to him.

He is survived by his children: Maria A., wife of Mark Gehman of Shamokin Dam; Charles A. DiFazio Jr., Minneapolis, MN; Niki A., wife of Phil Ferizzi of Topton; and Patrick A. DiFazio of Las Vegas, NV; his grandchildren: Melanie, Stephanie, Scott, Alyssa, Anthony, Niko, Sam, Vinny and Elizabeth; three great-grand-children: Gigi, Bentley and MeKayla. He was predeceased by his son, Michael A. DiFazio in 2002. He is also survived by his loving companion, Shirlee A. (Luc-chese) Esser, Wernersville, and her children: Barry C., husband of Kandi Esser, Brecknock Twp; Michael L. Esser Sr., husband of Deborah Esser; Joel A. Esser, Bernville; daughter-in-law Christine Esser; and daughter, Kristen Esser Bachman, wife of Eric Bachman, Cumru Twp. There are also her 11 grandchildren: Michael Jr., Ashlee, Ryan, Samatha, Jacob, Holly, Justin, Cody, Olivia, Lindsey and Carly.

Viewing from Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Ave., Shillington, on Monday, August 5, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. There will also be a memorial luncheon Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at La Casa Musso, 824 E. Benjamin Franklin Highway, Douglassville. Flowers are welcome or contributions in Charlie's memory to Life Choice Hospice, 10 Zions Church Road, Suite 204, Shoemakersville, PA 19555.

A true gentleman. Charlie left his mark with all that knew him. For 14 years I was fortunate to work with him and thru Concepts In Wood and that was a true pleasure. All of us at Concepts will miss him. Our prayers to the family and angel greetings for Charlie.

My sympathy to Patrick and the family. I first met Charlie as a client at Powder Pupp but think of him gratefully for my beautifully-renovated kitchen. I'm sure he's reunited with Pat and Mike and smiling down on all of us. God Speed Charlie and rest in peace.
