David Alspach Obituary

David J. Alspach, Sr., 81 formerly of Mertztown, passed away on May 8th at the Topton Lutheran Home. He was the husband of the late Barbara M. (Bosold) Alspach. David had worked for Reading Mack Dist. for over 13 years as a mechanic and then for Austin Fleet Maintenance of Reading as a night-shift foreman. He is predeceased by a brother, Robert R. Alspach Jr; one daughter, Christina L Degler. Surviving is one son, David J. Alspach Jr., (Kathleen), Mertztown, PA; daughters, Alethea A McDonough, Laureldale, PA, Victoria M Suglia, (Joseph) Birdsboro, PA; 6 Grandchildren; Several Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Cramp Hummel Funeral Home, 934 Centre Ave., Reading. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Entombment will be in Charles Evans Mausoleum. Online photos and memories can be shared at www.cramp-hummelfuneralhome.com
