To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I'm so sorry for the loss of Dennis. He was my jeweler for about 13 years. I didn't trust any other jeweler but him with my small treasures. We also live down the street from the shop and if he was outside, he always had a smile and a big hello. He will be missed!

Dennis was a great person. He was always good for a quick laugh or just to make you smile. He was so proud of his "pride and joy" and showed them off whenever he could find a sucker to agree to look :)

He took such good care of my mom and kept her "in line", no matter how much she argued. I know he is going to continue to do so.

Dennis, you're a great man and I know we will all miss you. You spread your love to so many people and we can all be thankful that we got to know you. Please continue to watch over my mom and make sure she takes care. I know your going to guide us in our future endeavors. You were a great man who had so many obstacles thrown your way but you always kept your head up and kept on smiling. You will be greatly missed.

Until we meet again!

A very memorable event occurred on Saturday, Febuary 23, 2008. At approximately 10:30am, Saints Peter & Paul were at the gates of Heaven painstakenly checking in the new arrivals. All of a sudden there there was a great silence among the throngs. Saints Peter & Paul then noticed the subject that was causing this curiosity . When this new arrival approached Peter & Paul they hurridly checked their list to find him. Surely this was someone of great importance!! But before they could find his name on the list, there was a great presence behind them; It was God. God approached the new arrival and said, " Dennis , where have you been ? I called for you 41 years ago." Dennis calmly replied, " With all due respect God, I was just not ready. I had a lot of unfinished work on earth. I like to think I've touched some lives with my extended stay". God nodded and said, " Yes, Dennis, you certainly did. You have been a great ambassador for all that is good. You have exemplified courage, compassion, dignity, morality, and love for all mankind. Come, enter. We have all been waiting a long time for this".

Your loving brother,
Philip

Many years ago, Tom Gross sent me to Denny to have some jewelry looked at. Mr. G told me to tell Denny that "Uncle Tom" sent me and Dennis took good care of me. He told me about the unusual stone in the ring and it's properties. I can almost see myself standing in his shop that day.

My heart goes out to all of his family and friends for your terrible loss. Take care & God Bless!

Already I miss "my jeweler". I had so much trust and faith in him. He was such a friendly, dependable and aim-to-please man. I just broke a bracelet and can't think of anyone I would want more to fix it. May he be happy in heaven. I will miss him.

Leo Buscaglia once said, "I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought, and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared in their love."
I will miss your being, Dennis, but feel your presence, always. Your spirit is now my guardian angel that will guide me and advise me through rough times as well as the times of joyous celebrations.
If I could have one single wish and never have another, it would be to have ten final minutes with Dennis in my arms, while letting him know how much of an inspiration he is to me...how if you must go, everything will be alright. Surely, I will miss you, always love you, but I will never forget you. I will think of you every time I see a black lab puppy, or listen to a Jimmy Page song, or gaze into a sparkling diamond, or when I just need reassurance when the going gets tough. Dennis, you are my hero.

I am heartbroken; I have lost a brother and dear friend. Dennis was always there to help me in my rough times.
He overcame so much adversity in his own life, and he became the very best at what he did.
I spent many evenings with Dennis when my children were young. Dennis and I would talk and listen to music for hours on end. His favorite was John Lennon.
He was also a very special God Father to one of my sons, Seanie.
It was wonderful that he found Donna and shared special times with her - Just Not Enough Time!
He would always smile when he called me, Suzie Q.
When I married Bob, Dennis immediately accepted us as family.
Dennis was a great support when I lost my Mother.
Dennis is an inspiration for me. Bob and I will miss him very much. We loved him so very much and will treasure our memories with him forever.
Now, there is a Big Black Hole in my life that was once filled by “Dennis”. I know he is at peace with the Lord
and I must accept this or I will not feel peace for Myself.

I Don’t Have To Like It; I Just Have To Accept It.

I just heard the awful news, and I must say I was quite shocked and very sad. Although I only knew Dennis from being a customer for many years, I always felt he was a wonderful, kind, and honest man. I always liked going into his jewelry store because I enjoyed talking to him. My heart goes out to his family.

To the Gipprich Family,
Words cannot express the sorrow I feel for you and the loss of your dear son, brother and uncle. Dennis was everything, not just wonderful, sweet, caring - he was all of the above and more. I will miss our talks, visits, breakfast - his hugs and kisses, his laugh, but most of all I will miss him. What a great guy, he was my buddy and I will miss him forever. He is an inspiration to us all.

Every day of our lives Dennis reminded us of the power and resiliency of the human spirit. From childhood until his most unfortunate passing he overcame the most difficult obstacles with a grace and flair that validates the best parts of humanity that are rarely seen. He touched so many lives in such a positive way and his spirit lives on with those of us that were fortunate enough to know him. He gave us all the gift of hope through a life well lived and his laughter will be sorely missed. I'd like to convey my most sincere condolences and regrets to Donna and the Gipprich clan for your loss. Dennis was truly a unique and true gem and life long friend.

I was completely shocked to hear that Dennis had passed. It was just 2 weeks ago Tony Boyer and I shared some laughs with him at Sunday breakfast. I don't think I ever laughed so much on a early Sunday morning at breakfast. I did not know him very long but I could tell he was a very caring and fun person. After reading some of this guest book you can tell he was a great friend and will be missed by many.

To the entire Gipprich Family,

Our family went to St. John's School together back when we were kids. Dennis was in my sister Nancy's class, and I used to see him when I visited Gipprich Jewelers when I was younger. Please accept my sincere condolences to the entire family. I know how difficult it is to lose a brother. Perhaps Dennis has run into my brothers John and David up there in heaven. I hope your love and memories help you through this difficult time.

Dennis was more than my jeweler. He was inspiration to me. Of all the challenges he overcame in his lifetime in world that at times is judgemental & cruel, he held his head high, always wearing a smile, finding reasons to laugh and making others laugh too. He was a beautiful person and I will miss more than my gifted jeweler but I will miss a friend who made me laugh.

To Donna;
I still can hear his voice the day he called me at Gallen and said the two of you were engaged. You could hear the happiness in is voice. May your memories together give you comfort, your friends & family give you support and God give you strength.
My prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Bootie and I are so very sad about the loss of Dennis. We will miss all of our fun conversations and jokes with him. He always made us laugh but at the same time he always had a listening ear when a friend was needed.

We appreciated his honest business sense and always knew we were getting the very best.
When our gems sparkle and shine we will always see Dennis as they are a reflection of him.

We are praying for you and all of the family.

To Donna, Family, & Friends,
Dennis held a special place in my heart, and I have been heart sick since I found out about his passing yesterday. He had the heart of gold and was always willing to give and help anyone, stranger or friend.
Dennis emailed me on Thursday, but I was traveling so I didn't have time to respond. I will always regret that now because he would have never hesitated to take time out of his day for me.
I was ecstatic when he told me he finally got Donna to agree to marry him, but to me they were always a couple, joined by a strong and rare love.
I am truly sorry for your loss, and I so sorry that I can't make it back from St Louis in time to pay my respects. I am wearing the bracelet he engraved for me, and I am holding it close because I don’t want to say goodbye.

Some People think that they have had a very hard life, others call them Demmis Gipprich. Dennis throught his live over came a condition most poeple would craw-up and hide. Afer being in a horriable accident at age 13, he gathered his stride and worked in fields that we are all sure where very unconfortalbe for him. Then he goes out to Califorina and Receives his Graduate Gemologist degree, NO SALL ACOMPLISHMENT, opens up a store that has him deal again with the public.

We should take note form Dennis. No matter how unfair or hard life sometimes seems, Remember Dennis

Enjoyed our years together Dennis, and someday we will meet again..

Music, when soft voices die

Music, when soft voices die,
Vibrates in the memory—
Odours, when sweet violets sicken,
Live within the sense they quicken.

Rose leaves, when the rose is dead,
Are heaped for the belovèd's bed;
And so thy thoughts, when thou art gone,
Love itself shall slumber on.

To The Gipprich Family,
Dennis was a great person and we were honored to have known him. Both my husband and I went to school with some of Dennis's siblings too. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. As parents we know how hard it is to lose a child, since we lost our son, Judd two and half years ago. Please remember all the good memories of Dennis and you will get thought this hard time. Keep him in your heart forever and God Bless you and your family.

To the Gipprich Family,
We were deeply saddened to see the passing of your dear son, brother, uncle and beloved Dennis. We were so proud to know him. We will remember a life lived with courage and someone who had that unique quality of leaving you with a smile on your face. We are in Florida until March and read the paper online everyday and therefore are sending this with our love and deepest sympathy. Sue and Dave

My heart goes out to the whole family. Dennis was a wonderful person and friend. We had a lot of good times together like when we went to the silo or swimming. I couldn't believe this when I read it this morning. I just saw him a few weeks ago and he looked great. My prayers are with you all.

I am so saddened by this news...I have the most wonderful memories of Dennis and his family. He was one of my "most favorite" friends. I will be thinking of all of you!
